Pilea Silk Wrap Boudoir Top ~ Travertine

This wrap top is cut from an utterly stunning 1930's silk pyjama top I've owned forever, which is completely threadbare, but deserves to be framed.

I do adore the silhouette of wearing a kimono over dresses, shorts, jeans, togs, just about anything, HOWEVER I always find the sleeves to be so annoying, and dragging in everything. I made these gorgeous wrap tops without the sleeves, to eliminate this problem.

I have absolutely fallen in love with this incredible resource of vintage silk crepe. The fabric is beyond gorgeous, it feels so incredibly luxuriant. And the patterns and colours available are beyond my wildest dreams. I just want to wrap myself in it forever.

I have sized these tops simply as S/M and L/XL because they are incredibly versatile and fairly oversized. They have no closure at the front, other than the waist tie, but you could very easily stitch in a couple of press stud clips, if you desire. Personally I wear mine over the top of everything, and I wear a simple little tank top underneath, if I want to wear it just on its own

Hand made from vintage silk, each piece is one, or two of a kind, and only available in one or two sizes. 

Once this garment is sold it is gone forever.

Ananda is a size AU10, is 179 cm tall, and is wearing the size L/XL.

Size S/M ~ armpit to armpit 59cm, straight down the back 77cm.

Size L/XL ~ armpit to armpit 62cm, straight down the back 77cm.

Although I have not personally seen any faults, I have seen it mentioned on other websites, and I thought it wise to do the same. Please be aware that these garments are crafted from vintage silk which has lived a previous life. Each piece is carefully hand picked and obsessed over. If, by chance, you are able to find the tiniest of imperfections, please celebrate and honour them.

My garments are 100% silk and undergo meticulous hand-dyeing, resulting in pieces that are delicate yet resilient. With proper care, they can endure for years. While hand washing remains an option, I highly recommend dry cleaning my silk products for optimal results.
